Apprentice - Fitter/fabricator

**LOCATION**:Carrington, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSW

**SHIFT SCHEDULE**:4 day work week (Mon-Thu 6AM to 4PM)

**JOB PURPOSE**:
Our client is currently seeking multiple apprentices for various trades at their Newcastle locations. The available positions are for Vehicle Builders, Fabricators, Sheetmetal workers, and Fitters.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop a deep understanding of the tools, equipment, and machinery used in the trade to complete tasks to a high standard.
- Comply with the safety standards and practices of our client’s workplace and industry to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Attend and actively participate in training sessions at TAFE to develop the theoretical and practical knowledge required for the trade.
- Collaborate with the team to complete tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure clear and accurate information sharing.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Recent Year 12 school leaver, or 1-2 years since completing (1st or 2nd year apprentices are also considered)
- Looking to complete a 4-year apprenticeship
- Possess a current driver’s license
- Have a mechanical aptitude
- Self-motivated to successfully complete both work and studies
- Demonstrate a high quality of work and attention to detail
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks
- Successfully complete a pre-placement medical including D&A testing

**REMUNERATION**:
