**About the role**

Applications are invited from motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Registered Midwives with a commitment to clinical coaching and a keen interest in education and professional development, to fill a **Clinical Facilitator** position in either a** permanent full time **or** part time capacity **in **Ambulatory & Birthing services** at Mater South Brisbane.

The Clinical Facilitator is supported by the Education Coordinator of the Ambulatory & Birthing services, the Practice Development Team and Mater Education. We are seeking motivated midwives with consolidated and recent clinical experience who are interested in providing support and educational opportunities to novice and experienced staff within the Ambulatory & Birthing services (Antenatal clinic & Home care program, Midwifery Group Practice, Parenting Support Centre, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Birth Suite, Pregnancy Assessment Centre and Peri-operative midwifery area) in South Brisbane. The position is for a midwife who is willing to challenge their own professional scope of practice in an education role, whilst further developing and supporting their team members in a best practice model of care. There is ample opportunity for initiative and innovation in education delivery within this team.

**Salary: $48.66 - $52.13 (Registered Nurse Level 2) per hour plus superannuation & salary packaging**

**What you’ll be doing**

As Clinical Facilitator you will be primarily responsible for supporting the professional development of the midwifery team and have a commitment to education and to delivering safe, quality, evidence-based patient care. This opportunity will encompass wide and diverse coordination, provision and monitoring of unit-based and organisation-wide education, including:

- bedside clinical coaching
- clinical skills development and competencies
- on-line learning support & face to face mandatory adult and neonatal resuscitation assessments
- revision and implementation of new policies and models of care
- identification, implementation and evaluation of best practice models
- assisting with development and facilitation of simulated learning opportunities

**About you**

To be successful in the role, you will possess:

- current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- minimum 3 years recent clinical experience working in Midwifery
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or postgraduate qualification in education, or willingness to work towards achieving
- post graduate qualifications in Midwifery
- demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and preceptorship
- high level communication and problem-solving skills
- ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Demonstrated competence with Microsoft word, Excel, Microsoft Access, and PowerPoint
