Head of Data Science

**Role Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute the data science and AI strategy in alignment with the company's objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the data science team, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product development, engineering, and front-end engineering)
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning models to solve complex business challenges for our customers.
- Ensure the integrity and security of data processes and comply with industry and regulatory standards.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and AI, incorporating cutting-edge techniques and technologies into our solutions.
- Communicate complex data science concepts and the value of AI solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI roles.
- Proven track record of developing and executing data science projects from conception to deployment, demonstrating significant business impact.
- Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.
- Experience with data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with cloud computing services (specifically Azure) and big data technologies (databricks).
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor team members.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical details into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
