This Administration Support & Reception Officer Trainee is a key support position to the Child Protection team within the North Division. The role undertakes a range of administrative tasks that contain sensitive and confidential information when assistance is required for families and children currently going through Child Protection processes.

Eligible participants of the scheme are people that must cover all of the below requirements:

- Be aged between 15 and 29 years at the commencement of the traineeship
- Be unemployed or not working more than 15 hours per week
- Not be currently engaged in tertiary education; and
- Have not attained a university level qualification (excluding certificate 1-4 courses).

At least 40 per cent of trainees recruited into the department over the full financial year will be from Priority Groups. When recruiting trainee positions, preference should therefore be given to eligible young people who are from one (or more) Priority Groups to seek to achieve this target.
- Priority Groups may include, but are not limited to:

- People unemployed for six months or at risk of being long term unemployed
- People with a disability
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- CALD communities including Humanitarian Migrant (people seeking asylum and refugees)
- Public and social housing residents
