Insulation Installer

Here at Wjinsulation we are looking for someone to fill the role of insulation installer, to join this growing team please view the list of responsibilities and qualifications that are required below.

As an insulation installer you will be required to
- Operate common use hand tools such as knives, staple guns and prongs.
- Perform pre inspections of your paperwork, load and equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Install insulation in roofs and walls.
- Work in a team and once trained be able to complete jobs completely and safely to satisfaction.
- Be able to lift, move and position large bags of insulation.
- Measure and cut insulation before any installation, so it will properly cover surfaces in walls, floors and ceilings, and around heating and air conditioning units.
- Follow proper safety procedures when removing old insulation that includes asbestos.

Job skills and qualifications:

- Ability to work comfortably on ladders and scaffold.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Be able to work in hot and cold temperatures.
- White card.
- Current drivers license.
- Own car preferably a ute to be able to transport product or a standard car and trailer.

Please note that as you are a sub-contractor your own ABN is required.
Own ute or car with a trailer is required as you will need to be able to transfer product to the job.

As this job is on a meter rate you will need to have or be willing to obtain your own ABN. We will pay on a day rate until you are experienced enough to work comfortably on your own and then earning potential is unlimited. We offer extremely competitive meter rates, the ability of a flexible schedule including weekend work and a Christmas bonus.
Meter rates are negotiable based on quality of work.

Please note that we are based around Logan, Queensland however do travel all around Brisbane and sometimes beyond. Travel reimbursement is applied when travel beyond 1 standard hour is required.
