The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Radiology Department provides a 24 hour/7 day a week service, undertaking over 230,000 medical imaging examinations annually. The MRI department is currently undergoing an exciting upgrade and will open a brand-new suite in July 2023.
- We are one of the most highly regarded medical imaging sites in Australia, Recognised for our high standards and the quality of staff employed. The department is fully equipped with state of the art equipment and over 120 highly trained Radiographers, Sonographers and assistants. Our focus is to provide good patient outcomes by providing a high level of patient care and outstanding imaging quality using state of the art equipment and highly trained staff.

**Your new role**
- The Medical Imaging Assistant (MIA) will be involved with MRI patient workflow in tasks including recording information on the Radiology Information system, liaising with wards and clinicians, submitting patient transport tasks, answering phone calls. These tasks will play a key role in the smooth operational performance of the MRI modality areas located across Radiology.
- The position has components of service delivery, patient care and safety as well as quality improvement.
