Workshop Supervisor

**Specific tasks**:
1 Supervise, plan and coordinate manufacturing activities
2 Control the workshop management system by scheduling, recording and monitoring the allocation of jobs
3 Provide advice, direction, and regular feedback on workshop performance to increase productivity and quality of workmanship
4 Cutting of materials to be used in jobs
5 Keep record of all materials used for specific jobs
6 Coordinate jobs in workshop with procurement officer and production manager
7 Assist with quality checks of jobs
8 Pre-packing of jobs and materials for every job
9 Labelling of job packs and sign off on quality checks
10 Receive invoices from suppliers and hand over to administration officer to capture
11 Assist with pre-packing of job packs
12 Quality check the materials packed for jobs, including powder coating quality check
13 Assist with test and tag all necessary equipment in workshop and keep record of items to be replaced
14 Ad-Hoc tasks to be allocated by management.
**Qualifications / Experience**:
1 Previous supervising experience in a manufacturing environment
2 Welding experience will be an advantage
3 Use of power tools, including industrial aluminium saw
4 Strong leadership qualities
5 Competent computer skills in Outlook, Excel and Word
6 Excellent attention to detail
**Salary**: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
**Experience**:
- Supervising: 3 years (preferred)
- TIG welding: 3 years (preferred)
- Metal Cutting: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Manual Driver Licence (preferred)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (required)
