**The Opportunity**:
This role is responsible for leading investigations of suspected criminal and administrative breaches primarily among workers, employers and providers under the Return to Work Act (SA) 2014.

As an authorised officer the successful applicant will ensure a coordinated approach to enforcement of the Act for the Scheme and will work closely with and report directly to the Leader Enforcement.

The role requires the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders and on projects and programs to support Regulatory and Scheme success.

**The scope of the role includes**:

- Lead and manage the team undertaking employer compliance and criminal investigations under the Return to Work Act, 2014.
- Planning, managing, monitoring and assessing team performance.
- Understanding and interpreting relevant legislation and policy.
- Leading quality triage through timely assessment and prioritisation of referrals.
- Ensuring provision of high quality information and guidance to claims agents and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring investigation time-lines, outputs and prosecutions are effectively managed
- Managing investigations resources, systems and process and oversee approvals for external engagements.
- Attending court hearings, providing instructions and giving evidence as required.
- Administering delegate decisions regarding prosecutions and administrative actions.
- Implementing legislative and policy change impacting investigations and maintain currency.
- Contribute to broader management processes of Enforcement and through planning, budget processes, cooperation and collaboration.
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent experience (Essential).
- Tertiary Qualifications in Law (Highly Desirable).
- Experience working with the Return to Work Act 2014 and subordinate legislation (Desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in investigations management.
- Experience in commercial fraud investigations in the insurance, financial, or government sector will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare briefs of evidence for criminal and/or civil prosecutions.
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage a team.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
