We are keen to learn about your extensive experiences across procurement including, sourcing, category management, SAP, familiarity with Ariba products, vendor and material master management, and procurement policy and process standard methodology.

Core to your success in the role will be your ability to align and support procurement teams and business unit teams throughout the organisation, ensuring high quality services are delivered and initiatives are implemented.

You will be responsible for day to day operations whilst also leading key process and policy initiatives across the Optus procurement function.

**Your key duties...**:

- Demonstrate a proven understanding of and experience in supporting strategic procurement initiatives and projects;
- Able to collaborate to implement, supervise and report on performance including dashboards delivered to key business partners;
- Able to challenge sourcing methodologies to develop long term solutions aligned to Optus’ strategy;
- Demonstrate sound knowledge management practices that ensures key knowledge and insights are developed and maintained;
- Shares knowledge and learning across the procurement team;
- Present recommendations to internal and external customers to support change;
- Developing plans and initiatives that support our business strategy and demonstrate how we’re supporting our customers, community and each other;
- Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships across the business.
- Maintenance of a CI register, plus ongoing coaching, training, & mentoring of staff members.

**Your essential ingredients...**
- Outstanding customer service attitude as gained in a fast-paced procurement function in a large corporate arena;
- Significant category management, sourcing, procurement consulting, and digital transformation experience;
- Ability to think laterally and lead critical initiatives, with outstanding leadership and customer management expertise;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with vendors, internal customers, management and peers;
- Advanced understanding of business and industry in which the organisation operates;
- Strong IT literacy, reporting, presentation and people management ability.
