In the role of Construction Worker (Structures Inspector), you will be trained and mentored to perform structure inspections in order to achieve Level 2 structures inspector accreditation. You will support the Operations Unit by performing structures inspections. You may also be required to assist with structures maintenance and rehabilitation works. You will maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and the project team.Mandatory requirements: o You may be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time.
- Minimum of five years' experience in construction and rehabilitation of bridges or other road structures
- Relevant tertiary education - Engineering or Civil Construction. Relevant trade qualifications - Boilermaker, Concretor, Bridge Constructionand/or Maintenance.o Possession of a Certificate III in Civil Construction applicable to modern transport infrastructure projects or ability to acquire one within 18 months.o Participation in Civil Trades Development Program (CTDP) is mandatory.o Possession of a White Card (Construction Induction).Desirable requirements: o Having already completed Structures Inspector accredited training, and industry experience as a Structures Inspector.o Bridge or Culvert construction and maintenance experience.o Structure rehabilitation experience (Bridge, Culverts, Large Traffic Management Signs)o Knowledge of Bridge and Culvert structures componentry.To find out more about the role and who to contact, please refer to role description.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/474618/23Closing Date: Wednesday, 15 March 2023This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
