We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our professional student wellbeing and support team at Trinity Christian School._

**Location: Tuggeranong, ACT**

**Employment Type: Part-time contract - 2 days (11 hours) per week during term**

**Employment Status: Contract**

**Start Date: February 2024 (One extra day on 29 January required for staff induction)**

**Closing Date: Monday 4 December 2023**

**About the Role**

This role is to assist the Trinity Christian School to minimise the impact of the mobile lifestyle on Defence students’ education. The Defence School Mentor (DSM) will assist Defence students and their families with changing schools, integrating into the school community, and providing support during parental absences. The DSM will raise awareness of the Defence lifestyle and the types of support which can assist Defence students within the school. The DSM is not a teacher, but a member of the School Wellbeing Team and Administration Team

**Essential Criteria**

> Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

> Strong organisational ability and well-developed IT skills;
> Demonstrated commitment to quality service, customer care and effective communication;
> Demonstrated ability to take ownership of processes;
> A willing attitude to “do what needs to be done”;
> Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly;
> Ability to work independently and as a member of a team;
> Ability to show initiative and take direction where necessary.
