Hdd Driller/superintendent

**Your assignment**

We are looking for experienced **Drillers & Driller Supervisors **to work with an established organisation in the Mining sector on a **FIFO basis** at the Mine Site. Our client has a long-term contract in place with one of the largest mines in Papua New Guinea.
- **Location**: Lihir Island, PNG
- **Length of contract**: Full Time / Permanent

**Your main responsibilities**

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Obtain soil samples using a drill rig and ensure samples are labelled and logged in accordance with relevant standards.
- Maintain the drill rig and associated tools in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain equipment and notifying the right people of necessary maintenance requirements.

**Your background**

To be successful for this role, you will have;
- Relevant Trade Certificate / Demonstrated experience in PNG - **desirable**:

- Current passport with minimum 3years validity - **essential**:

- Willing to undergo Police Clearance and Visa Medical Check - **essential**:

- Multiskilled drill rig operator with anchoring and overburden drilling experience
- Knowledge/Experience of Comacchio / Hutte Drill Rigs**:

- desirable**:

- Construction White Card
- Strong workplace safety awareness and understanding of corporate and site health and safety requirements.
- Physical fitness to operate and maintain equipment such as a drill rig safely and competently.
- Technical aptitude to analyse and document a variety of soil types.
