**About the Job**

We are currently seeking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to work in our Milsons Point head office on a permanent full-time contract.

Reporting to the Head of Desing, the Architectural Draftsperson is responsible for assisting with the management of the design and documentation process from work winning through project delivery to completion, ensuring that the design is efficiently coordinated to meet the project program, milestones, and compliance with all relevant standards and client requirements.

**The Architectural Draftsperson duties include but are not limited to**:

- Deliver design documentation on time, ensuring compliance with project briefs, budgets, and timelines.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD) and traditional drafting methods.
- Prepare, edit, and revise preliminary sketches, working drawings, maps, charts, and specifications.
- Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice to ensure compliance and alignment with project requirements.
- Revise and update construction details, manuals, and drawings based on feedback or regulatory requirements.
- Review tender documentation to identify construction risks, gaps, and opportunities.
- Ensure documentation meets compliance with Building Codes, standards, and sustainability requirements.
- Inspect works and materials on-site to verify adherence to specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors in planning and organizing project workflows and schedules.
- Monitor the production of workshop drawings and coordination between design disciplines (consultants and subcontractors).
- Assist in design reviews for constructability, cost efficiency, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Perform routine computations, calculate project costs and time scales, and collect data using surveying instruments to support design and construction activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of drawings, revisions, correspondence, and approvals.
- Assist in value management strategies, identifying design alternatives or efficiencies.
- Coordinate and track design deliverables with consultants and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and assist with post-completion tasks, including defects inspections and technical issue resolution.
- Support marketing initiatives and client/consultant relationship management.
- Assist in preparing and documenting internal design workshops.
- Stay updated on industry trends by attending workshops or training sessions.
- Ensure design department records are maintained and folders are up-to-date.

**The ideal applicant will possess**:

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications in Architecture or Engineering.
- At least two years’ experience (local or international) as an Architectural Draftsperson or equivalent role.
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to other offices and sites as required.
- Proficiency in drafting and using design software (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit)
- Ensure compliance with the Company Quality, Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Policies and Procedures.

**Position details and benefits**:

- This is a full-time permanent position.
- The salary range for this role is between AUD75,000 - AUD85,000 (excluding superannuation).

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
