**Advantaged Care has a unique opportunity for a landscape gardener to join our team on a full time basis Monday to Friday** to assist our current gardener in servicing our (5) five aged care residences, Edensor Gardens (Edensor Park), Georges Manor (Georges Hall), Barden Lodge (Menai), Bondi Waters (Bondi Beach) and Prestons Lodge (Prestons). Reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for weeding, planting, pruning and watering as well as the general maintenance and appearance of the grounds, gardens and buildings, striving to create a pleasant garden environment that is safe and secure for the residents, families and staff.

**About the Role**:
The main duties will include but is not limited to:

- Maintaining the facility gardens and courtyards to a high standard for use by residents, families and staff.
- Identify improvements which contribute to a quality environment for residents.
- Pruning, trimming, and hedging (excellent hedging skills with electric hedgers essential)
- cut back trees (including occasional usage of chain saws when required).
- All lawn maintenance, including Mowing and edging,
- General weeding including with pesticides and fertilising and mulching and other garden bed work as required.
- Plant and replace plants as directed by Management.
- Ongoing maintenance of all plants both exterior and interior.
- Clearing rubbish, blowing and pressure cleaning as required
- Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring.
- Assist in maintenance of all external buildings, furniture and amenities, pathways, driveways, pavers, fences and ponds
- Advise on plant selection and care, giving advice and guidance to managers on all matters relating to gardening.
- Ensuring a safe environment for everyone in the garden and that tasks required are done so in a timely manner to ensure the organisation meets its timelines.
- Any other tasks deemed necessary in maintaining the garden grounds and courtyards.
- _Fill in for site maintenance and support services with general maintenance tasks when site maintenance are on extended periods of annual leave_

**What we look for**:

- A sound knowledge of landscape gardening and upkeep.
- Willingness to travel to all sites (Edensor Park, Georges Hall, Prestons, Barden Ridge and Bondi Beach)
- Equivalent industry experience in a similar role desirable.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work on their own and as part of a team
- Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise work load to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
