**Support Worker - Vietnamese Speaking**

We’re looking for a reliable, empathetic & experienced Disability Support Worker that speaks Vietnamese well to provide support to NDIS participants.
- Experience supporting individuals living with disability
- professional communication skills
- An ability to work collaboratively with clients & their supports to assist them to meet their goals.
- Experience in manual handling and assisting people with personal care, or a willingness to learn.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts in one or more locations.

**Typical Support Worker duties**:

- Travel to clients homes in a timely and professional manner.
- Where required, assist clients to undertake a range of daily living activities including personal and self-care, cleaning, eating and maintenance of personal hygiene, using the principles of active support.
- Support individuals to be valued members of their community, through assisting each person to adopt valued roles, form meaningful relationships and access community activities, venues and services.
- Promote community inclusion through actively seeking community-based opportunities for individuals based on their interests, needs and cultural requirements.
- Support individuals to identify goals as well as strategies to achieve these, ensuring dignity, confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Support individuals to use their preferred method of communication and support them to be understood, always listened to and responded to.
- Maintain documentation, records and data collection as required.

**Role requirements**:

- Australian working rights.
- relevant qualifications (Certificate III, IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Disability Services, or similar.
- NDIS Screening Check
- Australian Driver's License
- Police Check with satisfactory outcome
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Orientation Module certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Up to date Covid vaccination status
- Full Comprehensive Insurance ( where applicable at all times on the vehicle being used for client transport)
- Registration on the vehicle being used for client transport is current (where applicable)

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 15 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
- First Aid Certification or willing to obtain one (preferred)
- NDIS Screening Check Clearance or willing to obtain one (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
