Apprentice Locksmith

The AAA Team is currently seeking an enthusiastic and eager to learn Apprentice Locksmith to join our valued Team.

**The Company**

AAA Ability Locksmiths is a Western Australian owned and operated progressive, industry leading multi-disciplinary Locksmith and Security manufacturing company, with over three decades of experience in delivering solution-driven, high-quality services to a diverse range of industries and various clients throughout Western Australia.

**The Role**

The position is varied, and you will be a part of all associated services in relation to hands-on Locksmithing and security including mobile, workshop and project specific requirements from manufacturing, installing and maintaining a diverse range of security products whilst focusing on delivering a service that is second to none

**Responsibilities, but are not limited to**:

- General Locksmithing duties
- Manual handling
- Attend to customer requirements
- Key-cutting, lock repairs, master key systems
- Counter sales
- Safes - opening, repair, maintenance
- Attend to customer sales and enquiries
- Metal Fabrication
- Machining raw materials - cutting, milling, bending
- Welding -Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy
- Perform tool and cutter grinding operations
- Painting
- Carpentry
- Receival of stock - maintaining stock levels of keys, locks, parts and dispatch of stock
- Safe workplace practices
- Maintaining clean and tidy workshops

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Must be committed to complete a four-year Apprenticeship
- WA manual Drivers Licence
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccinations
- Current State Police Clearance
- Ability to obtain full Security Clearances
- Working Rights Australia (Passport or AU Birth Certificate)
- Pass regular drug and alcohol tests
- Excellent hand tool skills
- Eagerness to learn with strong initiative
- Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously and within a team environment with high attention to detail
- Be physically able to perform manual handling tasks
- Positive and proactive approach to your work, with a strong work ethic
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills are a must
- Professional phone manner and customer relation skills
- Great time management and problem-solving skills
- Neat tidy appearance that is committed, punctual and organised
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office suite and company software)
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and work overtime when requested
- Must be able to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol screen
