Medical Receptionist

**An Experienced Medical Receptionist position** has become available at our medical clinic located in Gippsland, Drouin.
Our medical centre currently has 15 GP’s, 2 practice nurses, on-site pathology and allied health services, we are a very busy and dynamic work place.

We are seeking an extremely motivated, experienced, friendly receptionist to join our front desk team, on a Casual or Part Time basis.

**Hours**:

- 14 -21 hours a week
- Must be available to work an evening shift until 7-8pm
- Flexibility to work half day weekends if required

**Criteria**:

- Preferred rights to work in Australia
- Up to date with all Covid-19 Vaccinations

**Key duties**:

- First point of call, meeting/greeting patients in respectful friendly manner
- Answering phones
- Clerk work, scanning, receiving, distributing mail and correspondence
- Booking appointments
- Assisting the nurses and doctors as required
- Billing patients, both Medicare and private
- General housekeeping and other admin duties as required

**Skills REQUIRED**:

- Experience in medical reception or similar settings (more than 1 year)
- Medical Reception customer service
- An understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge and experience in Best Practice or similar software

**Salary**: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 21 per week

- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
