**Characteristics**
- Employees at this level will have achieved a level of organisation or industry specific knowledge sufficient for them to give advice or information to the organisation and clients in relation to specific areas of their responsibility.
- Employees at this level require only limited guidance or direction and would normally report to more senior staff as required.
- A principal feature, but not a requirement, of this level is supervision of employees in lower levels in terms of responsibility for the allocation of duties, co-ordination of work flow, checking of progress, quality of work and resolving problems.
- Employees at this level exercise initiative, discretion and judgment at times in performing their duties.
- Employees at this level are able to train employees in Levels 1-3 by personal instruction and demonstration.
**An employee at this level is an employee who has completed an appropriate level of training so as to enable the employee to perform work within the scope of this level**:
- ability to prepare financial or tax schedules, calculate costings, wage or salary requirements; complete personnel or payroll data for authorisation; reconcile accounts to balance
- advising or providing information on one or more of the following**:employment conditions**:
- workers compensation procedures and regulations
- superannuation entitlements, procedures and regulations
- maintain computer based management systems
- identify and extract information from internal and external sources
- use advanced word processing/keyboard functions
**Specific Skills**:
- Managing the day to day accounting transactions
- Preparing the monthly accounts
- Liaising with the external Accountant for annual accounts and tax queries
- Reconciliation, preparation and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Managing the accounts payable function including the processing of invoices due for payment
- Managing the accounts receivable function including the allocation of payments
- Credit control of overdue payments
- Processing payroll and other related payroll tasks
- Basic HR administrative tasks
**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- Cert IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting
- Not less than three years’ experience in a bookkeeping role and possesses the skills, knowledge and experience to perform work within the scope
- QLD Drivers Licence
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
