**The Opportunity**

Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team are seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance (145 / MRO) Professionals in support of technical roles for the Air Combat and Electronic Attack (ACEA) Modifications team, assisting in advancing Australia's F/A-18F and E/A-18G fleet into the future to meet the ever-evolving scope of Defence operations.

The Program is located at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) base Amberley, QLD.

**Responsibilities**

As a supporting Aircraft Trade Assistant within the Super Hornet and Growler Modifications team, you will be required to integrate and assist licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer personnel to carry out all day to day modification activities including;
- Aircraft induction and tear down for modification
- Assist in aircraft next generation upgrades
- Assist in Aircraft inspections, standard servicing's and rectifications
- Administer the use of all ground support equipment I.e. Aircraft hydraulic rigs, Cabin pressure testing rigs, Towing tractors etc.
- Administer the use of technical instructions/data and Aircraft Maintenance Documentation
- Assist in all aircraft testing post modifications
- Assist in aircraft Rebuild and delivery to the Commonwealth of Australia customer
- Report to the assigned Maintenance Operations Manager
- Work closely within a team environment

Aerospace Workers (AW) employed in this role will be at the AW2 or AW3 level, depending on the time taken to meet task authorisation requirements, level of experience in the Aviation Industry and any Aviation qualifications/training held.

**Experience / Qualifications**

Essential:

- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills
- Possess an Australian Negative Vet 1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics/Mechanical), including theory only completed
- Certificate II in Aircraft Line Maintenance

Desirable:

- Previous experience in an Aerospace environment
- Valid open drivers licence
