Butcher

Alpha Fresh is a local rapidly growing wholesale food provider servicing the hospitality industry daily with market fresh fruit & veg, meat, poultry and seafood. Based in Hume ACT, we are Canberra's leading fresh food wholesaler.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the small dynamic team in the butchery department of the business to produce and cut a range of meat and meat products for some of Canberra's largest caterers, restaurants, cafes, clubs and hotels.

As well as supporting the wholesale operations of the business, the successful applicant will be required to prepare a range of retail, supermarket style butcher products for a growing home delivery market.

Reporting to the Meat Department Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Butcher include
- Slice, dice, and mince meat
- Prepare our range of sausages
- Portion cut and pack prime cuts of meat
- Lamb and Pork carcass production and breakdown
- Manage the supply chain of the butchery including ordering/maintaining stock levels and weekly stocktakes
- Cleaning and sanitizing of butchery and butchery equipment

Full time and part time positions available. Early morning start 5am to 1:00pm weekdays and half day Saturdays.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
