What you'll be doing
To assist Head of Furniture effectively source and develop quality products that best fit the Freedom criteria of design, image, quality and price as well as being commercial and meets the Freedom merchandise targets.
- Provide all relevant information to ensure Range plans, Product Development Tracker, New Product Introduction, STR process is accurate and completed on time.
- Liaise with overseas suppliers to follow up development samples and arrange approvals of development samples, pre-production samples, labels and packaging to ensure timelines with the furniture critical path are met.
- Interact positively with the Planning and Quality team and utilise their skills to obtain more time to spend on product development and sourcing
- In collaboration with Head of Furniture, begin to develop and manage supplier relations to encourage the highest level of performance and commitment between both parties whilst still achieving highly competitive buy prices and suitable product quality to meet and exceed our customers expectations
- Maintain the Support Centre Product Room and the movement of new and old products
- Participate in pre-range review analysis meetings and assist the supply team with preparation of reports
- Develop Product Information Sheets for new products
