**What you will be doing**:
An exciting opportuity is available for a Hospital Assistant to join the Domestic Services team at Nepean Hospital on a Permanent Full Time basis. In this role you will provide effective cleaning, services to clinical and non clinical areas, including (but not limited to) Wards, Emergency, Theatres, isolated clinical areas, in accordance with infection control policies and procedures in order to provide a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and safety for patients, clients, staff and visitors.

**All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.**

**Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.**

**Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.**

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

- Demonstrated experience and ability to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks in a hospital environment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the needs of customers by providing good customer service.
- Demonstrated good communication skills in English and the ability to read and understand essential documentation including safe work practices and infection control procedures.
- Demonstrated ability & capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise time sensitive tasks
- Knowledge & compliance with Work Health & Safety Legislation & Guidelines and Willingness to protect the health and safety of self and others at work, under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Ability to work any shift within a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
