Medical Administration Registrar

About the role
This role supports the Director of Medical Services (DMS) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in projects and activities related to professional medical issues, medical education, quality and clinical governance, workforce planning and medical revenue optimisation.
The key responsibilities of the Medical Administration Registrar role are:
- Participate in relevant patient safety, quality improvement activities.
- Assist in the investigation of sentinel and critical adverse events and patient
- Attend and present to (where appropriate) relevant meetings such as the
- Patient Safety and Mortality Review meetings.
- Participate in ACHS accreditation survey activities.
- Lead the development of revenue optimisation strategies including quality improvement activities in clinical documentation and medical coding
- Actively contribute to maintaining a safe workplace that values the health and safety of co-workers, clients and visitors.
- Actively contribute to developing and maintaining a culture where staff are vigilant to risks to themselves, their co-workers, clients and visitors (including health and safety, business and operational risks).
- Actively participate in the Health Service 1:1 conversation process.
About you
- Support the DMS and Medical Workforce Unit in management of the junior medical workforce.
- Support the DMS in medical workforce planning, recruitment and retention strategies.
- Lead the development of revenue optimisation strategies including quality improvement activities in clinical documentation and medical coding and implementation of an education program for medical staff.

- Proactively deal with Patient Safety, Clinical Risk (including involvement in Mortality Review for patient deaths as required), Quality Improvement, Customer Relations and Infection Control issues as they relate to medical administration.
- This role reports operationally and professionally to the Director Medical Services.

**Mandatory Requirements**:
