**Role Description/Criteria**

Leader of Vocational Education and Training Delivered in Secondary Schools ('VETDSS' or '**VET**') and School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships ('**SBAT**')
- Job share position, 2 or 3 days per week (0.2-0.4 FTE)
- Seven weeks school holiday leave (pro-rata)
- Excellent base salary plus super, as well as the added benefit of salary packaging up to $15,900 pa

**THE POSITION**

The VET and SBAT Leader works collaboratively with the Learning and Teaching team to ensure the development and implementation of comprehensive Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Apprenticeship programs at the College.

The position partners with students, families, business and industry, registered training providers, and community organisations to support students in all aspects of their VET and SBAT programs, and has has both strategic and operational impact.

**ABOUT YOU**

As a person passionate about education, you have a strong desire to create and support pathways for students within school and beyond. You have a capacity to proactively build partnerships that support these pathways, and a commitment to opening doors for our students that broaden educational and life opportunities.

**Essential**:

- Previous experience managing or administering VET and SBAT.
- Sound knowledge of global changes in education, and an ability to assess and position VET and SBAT pathways within the context of these changes.
- Experience in building (or able to demonstrate capacity to build) strong partnerships with host organisations and RTOs that create opportunities for students within their chosen pathway.
- Highly organised with excellent administration skills, and the ability to take a process improvement lens to current practice.
- Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with stakeholders including young people and their families.
- The ability to work fluidly within a job-share position, particularly regarding task handover and communication.
- Proven experience successfully managing resources and budgets.
- Commitment to work within and positively advance the College’s Mission and Mercy values.
- Understanding and/or appreciation of the principles of a Catholic community organisation.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in a secondary school setting

Classification is ESS Level 4 in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018.
- $85,888 - $97,831 gross per annum (dependent on experience) plus 10.5% superannuation
- 7 weeks school holiday leave per year (pro-rata)
- Salary package up to $15,900 per annum
