**Victorian State Manager - Security**

Millennium is an ASX listed, multi-disciplined services organisation carrying out commercial cleaning, security and facility management service provision throughout Australia and New Zealand with a premium industry reputation.

Our Melbourne office is based in the South-Eastern Suburbs

**About the role -**

You will be a key member of a diverse and inclusive operations team and integral to its continuing success.

**Your role and responsibilities -**
- We are a people business - you will be accountable for the management of a diverse people business ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our colleagues is your number one priority.
- You will maintain and build relationships with established accounts across Victoria.
- You will ensure the delivery of services to clients no less than the requirements of our contractual arrangements.
- You will manage the revenue and cost base of the business ensuring we provide services that delight our clients and are profitable.
- You will be accountable for the State budget.
- As you are managing regional accounts -regional travel is essential as a part of this role.
- You have proven experience in the ability to manage security operations within established budgets.
- You have a sales and marketing background as well as business management profit and loss experience to ensure you run a safe and profitable business.
- You ensure an environment that promotes effective communication, positive employee relations, and great teamwork.
- You have a demonstrated ability to write business proposals and assist in negotiating key contracts.
- You are flexible as you will be required to oversee and supervise events for clients (outside of ordinary business hours).
- You have high level people management skills - with the ability to train coach and influence people.

**About you -**
- 3-4 years managing and leading the delivery of security services to clients.
- You are well organised, confident, and able to work to tight time frames.
- You are commercially astute - you know your way around budgets and numbers.
- You have outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- We are a people business - you have deep and broad experience in leading and managing staff whilst putting safety at the center of everything that we do.
- You are a team player, and you can also to operate autonomously.
- You have demonstrated ability to work with adverse existing client base and build lasting relationships.
- You are customer centric.
- You are an effective communicator.
- You have a positive, can-do, attitude, high-level of customer service, and be able to react and think ‘on your feet’ when required.

**Essential**:

- Relevant State Security License
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferably in a commercial stream (e.g., Facilities management, marketing, financial/accounting, business unit, engineering) and can demonstrate an ongoing commitment to learning and personal development.
