**What You Will Be Doing**

Peninsula Health currently has an opportunity for an experienced Plant Technician to join the team at Frankston Hospital. The Plant Technician will have responsibilities for operation and maintenance of Hospital building services including, but not limited to steam generators & steam distribution systems, air conditioning systems & Building Automation/Access controls, hydraulic systems, emergency generators and medical gases equipment, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintenance: Principle responsibilities for both planned and breakdown maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Secondary responsibilities involve occasional minor repair work involving other trade tasks.
- Operation: Operate in safe and efficient manner relevant hospital equipment.
- Issue Hot Work/ Environmental impact permits and isolate plant and equipment as directed for contractor maintenance. Fire panel isolations as required. Third party contractor’s induction, assisting, coordination & report on performance.
- Account: Account for materials and spare parts used, maintain stock levels of spare parts, support materials, chemical and medical gas stock.
- Safety: Adhere to Hospital safety procedures and policies manual. Participate is required trainings.
- General: Carry out other duties as may be required related to mechanical trade.

**What You Need**
- Trade qualifications (air conditioning, mechanical or refrigeration),
- D class or higher electrical licence.
- Able to meet the physical inherent requirements of this role.
- Facilities Management experience in similar position in health care, educational, hospitality or similar environment (Client or Contractor side).
