Well established in Europe and the US, the role of Simulation Engineer is a relatively new discipline in the ANZ logistics / intralogistics industry. This notice is for you if:

- You're already working as a Simulation or Emulation Engineer in a logistics/supply chain, intralogistics, materials handling environment (or similar)

OR
- You have experience in the design of SCADA / control systems plus strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in engaging and developing your skills in a compelling new direction

Our client is a highly respected global consultancy which helps companies to optimise their logistics/supply chain operations, including a strong technical focus on the utilisation of cutting-edge technologies used in automated warehouses and distribution centres. As they embark on the next chapter of their growth story, they are now building a pioneering new team within their very well established ANZ operations.

With direct input from newly appointed Head of Simulation (ANZ), the successful applicant for this client-facing role will provide valuable insights for optimising the logistics and automated DC operations of existing customers, many of which are leading global companies.

Specifically, you will:

- Work with internal project teams to understand functional customer requirements.
- Use simulation software (SIMIO) to translate and programme technical requirements into the model
- Create, develop, optimise and test option scenarios
- Collate critical customer insights to inform the development of industry-leading customer logistics network and solutions

About you:
If you're already working as a Simulation or Emulation Engineer in an intralogistics / logistics or materials handling environment that would be fantastic. Otherwise, its likely that you have:

- A degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or computer engineering
- Experience in the design of SCADA / control systems (1-5 years)
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills
- Strong client-facing interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Some exposure to supply chain, industrial automation would be useful but is not essential
