**About the role**

The role of Coordinator IT Operations oversees the effective and efficient functioning of Council’s IT services, its service desk, and the maintenance of Council IT infrastructure. The Coordinator supervises multiple roles and will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Service Desk team and IT Officers. The Coordinator IT Operations will also be required to be on call on a scheduled basis.

The Coordinator IT Operations reports directly to the Chief Information Officer, duties will include:

- Manage IT infrastructure projects, including management of internal staff and external vendor
- delivered items and improvements
- Manage and maintain telecommunications infrastructure including internet access, VoIP and
- digital phone systems and related technologies.
- Manage a team of technical staff in provision of IT Infrastructure services
- Take all reasonable action to protect Council assets from damage and or loss
- Assist the service desk to manage and maintain the corporate desktop environment
- Comply with Council’s Risk Management Policy and Framework

**About you**

You will also require:

- Tertiary or post-secondary qualification in Computer Science or related discipline or extensive experience and certifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of IT professionals; with skills to motivate, coach and mentor.
- Knowledge of local government and associated systems or transferable knowledge
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Current Victorian drivers licence
