Assistant Arborist

One of our clients, a local council within the Essendon area, is looking for an
Assistant Arborist to join their passionate team.

This Job is a casual role, however, will be for 38 hours per week and could lead onto
gaining a full-time contract.
Your shift will start at 7.00am and will end at 4.00pm
Pay Rate: $34 Per Hour + Superannuation. (Payrate negotiable, depending on
experience)

**You will Need**:
A current Medium Rigid Drivers Licence
Certificate 3 in Arboriculture.
Knowledge of arboricultural theory and practice Clearence of Lines Training is highly desirable.
Must be physically capable to perform task which involve some lifting, reaching
bending and the capacity to operate various hand tools, plant and equipment.
Experience in using power equipment such as chainsaws, tree loppers and chippers.

**You will be**:
Taking part in the maintenance and enhancement of trees in streetscapes, parks,
gardens and reserves.
Ensuring the safe and effective selection, operation and maintenance of plant,
machinery, tools and equipment.
Ensuring plant and equipment is only used for its intended purpose and is operated
in a safe manner by trained and competent operators.
Implementing and encouraging systems to ensure plant and equipment is
maintained according to manufacturer’s specifications to ensure working like and
safe operation.
Undertaking basic safety checks and report defects to appropriate Supervisor.
