**About Our Facility**

Barwon Health Cardiology is a busy unit that is responsible for comprehensive specialised Cardiac care for a vast catchment area extending to the Western and Northern borders of Victoria. This includes many peripheral hospitals and GP-run practices who often seek specialist advice or transfer of patients. We offer a 24-hour STEMI, Elective and urgent coronary imaging (OCT, IVUS, FFR) and interventions (including complex PCI/Rotablation/CTO cases) service, electrophysiology (ablation and device insertion, CARTO 3D mapping), structural heart disease management (PFO/ ASD closure, TAVI) and cardiac imaging (TOE, CTCA, cardiac MRI). We also work very closely with the Cardiothoracic Unit, with co-located inpatients, offices and our multidisciplinary meeting.

**About the Role**

As the Cardiologist you will ensure the provision of high quality, timely, appropriate specialist cardiology services as part of Barwon Health.

Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

- Acting as a specialist in the cardiology inpatient unit and undertaking direct clinical care duties within the service, both public and private.
- Participation in the cardiology after hours on call service aligned with specialist interest and qualification.
- Regular review of clinical documentation to ensure it is at appropriate and acceptable standard to allow accurate DRG coding to be completed.
- Teaching cardiology registrars, junior doctors and medical students to provide appropriate education in cardiology.

Essential: monstrated experience in cardiology consultation and non-invasive cardiac imaging, e.g. ECHO, Stress ECHO, Dobutamine Stress ECHO
