**_Role Overview:_**
As a pivotal member of the organisation’s Innovation leadership team, you will play a key role in prioritising, planning, and sequencing of the entire delivery of innovation pipeline within specified key performance indicators, resources, timelines, and budgets to maximise translation and commercialisation impact.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders from initial conception to final implementation, you will provide a whole of organisation view of the innovation pipeline, including reporting of progress, challenges and key metrics aligned to organisation’s innovation strategy.

**_Key Accountabilities:_**
- **Innovation lifecycle Management**: Manage the entire innovation pipeline, from idea entry to innovation exit.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead a team of Innovation Stream Portfolio Managers, accelerating the development, translation, and commercialisation of innovation projects.
- **Strategic Translation**: Translate and communicate organisations strategies into functional work plans, managing their implementation and reporting on progress.
- **Risk Management**: Evaluate and communicate the risk-reward proposition of strategies, plans, and decisions to key stakeholders.
- **Process Improvement**: Enhance innovation investment methodologies, processes, capabilities, and culture to improve decision quality and long-term impact.
- **Leadership**: Establish, implement, and refine processes for tracking progress, risk management, and budgeting of pipeline projects.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Collaborate with researchers and partners to understand their needs and challenges, accelerating innovation delivery.
- **Budget Oversight**: Determine and manage budget allocations and resources for the pipeline management team.

**_Key Outcomes:_**
- A high-quality innovation pipeline with projects demonstrating progress and leading to successful translation & commercialisation.
- Clear and well understood processes established that allow effective and rapid decision-making and prioritisation.
- A highly functioning pipeline management team that streamlines the development pathway and accelerates time to impact.
- Reporting and tracking that enable a whole of organsiation view of the innovation activity and progress against strategy.

**_To be successful in this role, you will have:_**
- At least 7 years in "health-related" innovation lifecycle management, translation, or commercialisation.
- Strong scientific/clinical/health background (e.g., BSc or equivalent).
- Has deep experience across the entire lifecycle of innovation, business development and commercialisation activities in health or research context.
- Determines and manages budget allocations and resourcing for the pipeline management team.
- Leadership experience fostering team collaboration.
- Legal and commercial risk understanding.
- Has successfully identified blockers/risks to innovation initiatives and has taken action to resolve/mitigate these challenges and accelerate innovation by securing executive support and engaging with the relevant stakeholders.
