**About the team**

UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services to enable its strategic direction and goals. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models.

The redesign of the Infrastructure and Platform unit aims to deliver design and operational services through a portfolio comprised of a Network and Systems section and an End User Compute section.

**About the opportunity**

Reporting to the Manager (Audio Visual) and joining a team of six, you will provide technical support and audio-visual solutions, including remote, in-venue, conferencing, signage and lecture capture systems, in line with UWA standards. You will also work collaboratively to support the consistent, quality delivery of teaching and otherwise maintain and support the effective delivery of UWA’s AV requirements.

**About you**

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate substantial relevant experience with the ability to articulate AV issues and concepts in ordinary language. You will also demonstrate an ability to build positive stakeholder relationships, manage competing priorities and utilise your well-developed organisational skills to set priorities and ensure timely completion of tasks. In addition, you will have proficiency in a range of Audio-Visual technologies including video conferencing, bridging, AV control systems and AV switching & streaming

You will be conversant and understand the following electronic principles: AV / Electronic circuit diagrams & block diagrams, AV signal flows / paths, and AV digital technologies. With these skills, you will be able to troubleshoot faults & fault find in AV and electronics systems. Electronic theory / background is desirable.

Note: A Current WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence is required for the successful applicant.
