**About the role**:
The Department plays a pivotal role in advancing workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation, and industrial relations in Queensland. As an Administration Officer, you will be responsible for managing administrative tasks related to the collation and filing of Inspector assessments for the Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection) in alignment with the needs of the Department.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Create and maintain electronic and hardcopy files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform data entry into various electronic management systems and digital recordkeeping logs.
- Conduct archiving duties, including preparing files for archiving.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure filing according to agency requirements.
- Execute general office and administration tasks such as word processing, printing, and scanning.
**Desirable Skills and Knowledge**:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet administrative requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the capability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Recordkeeping and document management experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Proficiency in computer usage, particularly with Microsoft Office suite for administrative tasks.
- Ability to interpret data for reporting purposes.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the capability to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Strong customer focus and effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
