Teenage and Family Counsellor

Mindful Me is a progressive teenage counselling practice. We aim to do things differently and think about youth mental health in an innovative way. We are all about engaging with teens and their families in a real and down-to-earth way so we can make long-term change.

Mindful Me is looking for a superstar teenage counsellor or psychotherapist to join our growing Eastern Suburbs team in a subcontractor role. We’re looking for somebody to join our Bondi Junction space.

**Skills & Experience Needed**:

- Recognised and appropriate tertiary qualifications in counselling, with a minimum of 2 years experience working with teenagers
- Demonstrate ability and/or experience in communicating with parents, and working within a family-inclusive approach
- Have experience working with families in a counselling setting. You are able to conduct counselling sessions with more than 1 person in the room
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively within a team environment
- Able to use a variety of client focused, holistic, and trauma informed modalities
- Be able to work independently
- Have a desire to learn and be interested in teenagers and family work

**What you’ll need for the role**:

- A desire to join a passionate and growing counselling practice
- Registration with PACFA or equivalent body
- Your own ABN and professional indemnity insurance
- Must have a valid Working with Children’s Check
- Must be able to work independently without the team present in the office
- Must be available to work after school hours (3:00pm-8:00pm) and/or Saturday’s
- Must be available to start by mid-April

**Salary**: $61,512.78 - $117,197.21 per year

- Afternoon shift
- Weekend availability
