Groundskeeper

Chris & Julie's Respite Farm Pty Ltd has been operating fully supported Farm Stays for individuals with a disability since 2011.

Set on 20 flat acres, we have a variety of animals including miniature horses, goats, sheep, chickens, alpacas, bunnies and birds.

We are looking for a reliable and friendly maintenance person who loves to work outside and is comfortable around animals. Duties include but are not limited to:

- daily feeding and checking of our animals - collecting eggs, maintaining feed and water levels, etc.
- keeping the grounds free from debris
- watering and tending plants and gardens
- checking and maintaining fencing and structures
- mowing, whipper snipping, leaf blowing etc.
- keeping common areas clean and free from spiders
- ad hoc maintenance and animal care duties as required.

Skills and experience:

- Honest and reliable
- Able to safely and competently operate equipment including but not limited to: ride on mower, small tractor, leaf blower, whipper snipper, pruners, petrol generator etc.
- Be comfortable and confident around animals
- Be able to work autonomously and follow through tasks to completion
- have exemplary communication skills and be comfortable taking direction
- have knowledge of safe work practices
- Have great attention to detail and show proactive initiative
- Full manual drivers licence
- you must have or have no barriers to obtaining: Working With Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and First Aid Certificate
