**About the Role**

Rocketmine is currently seeking UAV Pilots for its operations in the Western Australian mining industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for keen aviation professionals to expand their skills into mining and spatial sciences.

We are offering permanent, full-time roles that involve daily drone operations and processing of aerial data to provide our customers with accurate and up-to-date spatial information.

Our drone operations involve long-range, fixed-wing operations for mapping (including beyond-visual-line-of-sight), multi-rotor operations for inspections and 3D modelling, and a range of sensors including RGB & thermal cameras and LiDAR.

You will be based on one of our customers’ mine sites, working as part of their technical services team on an 8 days on / 6 days off fly-in-fly-out roster from Perth.

**Key Duties include**
- Planning & safe execution of all drone flights, including long-range beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations.
- Basic care, servicing and maintenance of drones and other associated equipment.
- Maintain accurate flight and maintenance documentation.
- Timely processing of aerial data, including quality/accuracy checks and delivery to the end users.
- Regular liaison with mine site personnel for determining the aerial survey requirements and scheduling.

**Skills and Experience**
- Private or Commercial Pilots Licence
- IREX pass (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass regular medical and drug/alcohol screens
- Australian C Class Drivers’ Licence

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

- 12 hour shift
- Overtime
- Rotating roster
