- The Sobering Up Unit is a 30-bed facility accommodating people over 18 years of age, and offers a fee-free, safe, and supportive environment where people can recover from the immediate effects of alcohol and/or other drug use.

The Sobering Up Unit provides advocacy and referral to accommodation, counselling, welfare, medical and rehabilitation services.

The Sobering Up Unit works in collaboration with a variety of services to ensure clients are linked with those that best meet their needs.
- Please provide information here about this volunteer role:

- Time commitment - up to 38 hours per week on a rotating roster
- Meet with work placement supervisor regularly to plan and discuss required placement activities and for supervision to meet professional development capabilities. Students will observe and support the program and activities by practically assisting with the smooth operation of the program as well as providing administrative support. Maintain confidentiality of interactions and information Keep children safe by always abiding by Salvation Army’s child safe policies and code of conduct.
- Studying towards a Certificate IV in Community Services ideally AOD
- Have current WWCC and prepared to undertake a police clearance
