Siena Catholic College is seeking suitably qualified, committed and student focused educators with the ability and experience to teach Hospitality, Tourism, Design & Technologies (Food) (7-10) Teacher.

**About the role -** As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:

**About you -** To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience as well as:

- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:

- Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
- Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
- Effective communication skills;
- Proven ability and commitment to work collaboratively with colleagues (incl. co-planning & review), students and parents/carers;
- Understanding of the Australian Curriculum and Queensland’s new QCE system;
- Understanding of Brisbane Catholic Education’s Model of Pedagogy (incl. evidence-based, high yield teaching & learning practices) and Excellent Learning and Teaching Strategy;
- Evidence of personal innovation and excellence in teaching and learning;
- Preparedness to contribute to the co
- and extra-curricular programs of the College and a reflection on the four Pillars of Dominican Charism - Prayer, Study, Community and Service.

**Do I have to be Catholic?**
All BCE teachers must have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education. Our teachers who teach Religious Education are required to be Catholic and attain Accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school. If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
