**The Role**
As part of the Latrobe Valley technical team, the role is to assist with the design, delivery and support of Radio and Data Communications Systems for our client base primarily in the power generation industry in the Latrobe Valley.

As this is a customer-facing role, the successful applicant must ensure that our standards of efficiency, safety and quality are maintained.

The role is Latrobe Valley based but remote work may be required for various projects.

Successful applicants will be expected to perform on-call duties on a rotational basis with the rest of the team. One week on 3 or more weeks off. On-call allowance is paid.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Installation & fault finding of Voice & Data Radio systems including Motorola & Tait.
- Installation and fault finding on microwave equipment and various UC and IP equipment.
- Installation of communications equipment on vehicles and customer premises.
- Liaise with Senior Technicians to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Liaise with the planning group to ensure the planned maintenance schedule is implemented.
- Ensure all activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company safety policy and procedures.

**About You**
- Previous or related experience working with radio communications, telephony and IP based equipment - **Essential.**:

- Knowledge of VHF and UHF radio systems in multiple technologies such as DMR, P25, and TETRA. **- Desirable.**:

- Previous experience with Fleet Management Systems - **Desirable.**:

- Previous experience working in the mining environment / industries. - **Desirable.**:

- Experience with Motorola & Tait radio systems. - **Desirable.**:

- Demonstrated experience operating in JHA / Permit based work environments.
- Microwave experience favourable. -** Desirable.**:

- Experienced working at heights. - **Desirable.**:

- Rigging/Tower Rescue - **Highly Desirable.**:

- Very self-motivated with the ability to work within a team or alone.
- Able to provide documentation / certificates indicating previous radio, telephony or general communications training.
- Willingness to learn and eagerness to upskill.

**Skills and Experience**
- Cert IV Diploma of Radio Communications or equivalent trade certificate. - **Desirable.**:

- A Grade Electrician - **Desirable.**:

- Cablers registration with Coaxial, Structured Cabling and Fibre Optic endorsements - **Desirable.**:

- Australian (C Class) drivers’ licence for a manual vehicle. - **Essential.**:

- White Construction Card. - **Desirable.**:

- 'Provide First Aid' Certificate. - **Desirable.**:

- High Risk Workers Licence - Work Platform - **Desirable.**:

- Tower Rescue - **Desirable.**:

- Work Safely at Heights. - **Desirable.**
