Bulga Open Cut is a long established and consistently performing open cut coal operation located near Singleton in the NSW Hunter Valley, with extensive mine approvals extending until 2039. We are currently looking for a highly motivated Health and Safety Officer to join our Health, Safety and Training team. The position is a twelve month Fixed -Term maternity leave contract, working a Monday to Friday roster.
**In this role you will be responsible for**:
- Assisting in developing, implementing and monitoring Health and Safety Systems and initiatives to ensure the delivery of business objectives.
- Developing, coordinating and facilitating Risk Management activities.
- Engaging with workforce and supervision teams to promote health, safety and wellbeing activities.**About you**:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a health and safety role across any industry, with experience in the mining sector regarded as particularly valuable. A high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.
- Ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
