**Summary**:
Responsible for handling the bar on their own and assisting the front of house team to deliver high quality dining service, operating Point of Sale, maintaining safety and cleanliness, enhancing guest satisfaction, and driving sales. The responsibilities will primarily include handling the entire beverage operations.

As our primary bartender, you’ll be trained to manage an efficient and exciting bar program that will truly broaden your horizons. You’ll get hands-on experience with flavours and techniques used by top bartenders around the world, while helping us craft unforgettable guest experiences.

We’re a small, close-knit team, so we’re looking for someone who’s ready to jump in and take on varied roles. Beyond managing the bar, you’ll help with inventory, running food and drinks, clearing tables, and even handling lunch service solo. You’ll also be responsible for opening and closing the restaurant.

We’re ideally looking for a full-timer (around 40 hours per week, never more than 44), with split shifts between lunch and dinner service. Casual positions will also be considered, but weekend availability is essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Guest Service:

- Greet, seat, and serve guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Take and process orders accurately, offering menu advice and recommendations.
- Respond to guest needs promptly, handling concerns with care.
- Use every opportunity to enhance the guest's experience and boost sales through knowledgeable suggestions.
- Farewell guests warmly, encouraging them to return.

Food and Beverage Preparation:

- Assist in preparing and serving drinks and simple food items, following recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and food safety during all preparation and serving.
- Have a strong knowledge of cocktail/ mocktail recipes, wine, spirits, and beer offerings.
- Operate bar equipment such as dishwashers, blenders, and draft systems competently.
- Manage glassware and cutlery stock, ensuring items are clean, polished, and defects-free.
- Organise and restock front-of-house supplies, ensuring everything needed is ready and available.
- Support and work behind the bar as directed.

Table and Area Maintenance:

- Set up the dining and bar areas before service, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
- Clear and clean tables and bar promptly after guests leave, preparing for new arrivals efficiently.
- Keep the dining and bar areas tidy, including floors, counters, sinks and stations.
- Wash and sterilise glassware, utensils, and bar equipment consistently.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain a tidy environment for guests and staff.
- Perform end-of-shift cleaning tasks as assigned, ensuring the bar is presentable for the next service.
- Support maintenance tasks by reporting any issues with furniture or fittings to management.

Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with the service teammates to ensure smooth operations during peak times.
- Lead by example, helping to train new teammates according to the restaurant's guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar team to coordinate orders and service.
- Contribute to a harmonious working environment, fostering good relationships with all teammates.

Compliance and Safety:

- Follow health and safety guidelines, maintaining a safe environment for team and guests.
- Follow all restaurant policies, including dress code and personal hygiene standards.
- Be alert to the safety and well-being of all patrons, especially during service and as they depart.
- Handle all restaurant equipment responsibly and report any safety hazards immediately.

Stock Control and Ordering:

- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, and other bar supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
- Assist in receiving and verifying deliveries to ensure order accuracy and quality.
- Implement proper stock rotation to minimise waste and maximise the use of ingredients.
- Report any stock discrepancies or security issues to the bar manager immediately.
- Assist in regular stocktakes and contribute to the forecasting of stock needs.

Additional Duties:

- Assist with bookings, event promotions, and client connections to showcase the restaurant's services.
- Participate in regular team meetings and provide feedback to the Restaurant Supervisor.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as required to support the restaurant's operations and service excellence.
