Hseq Officer

Classic Recruitment is exciting to be working with a family owned and operated Civil Construction company to assist them in the recruitment of a HSEQ Officer.

This is a full-time Monday to Friday opportunity that would suit an experienced HSEQ professional who is looking to take the next step in their career.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Manage the implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System
- Lead the facilitation of external audits
- The promotion of safety among all employees, contractors and visitors
- Ensure all contractors are engaged correctly, and involved in the appropriate induction.
- Provide information to the Directors as required in response to any customer complaints/queries/issues.
- Draft and revise SWMS and risk assessments
- Developing safety procedures and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing, implementing, maintaining internal audit of Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems to ensure compliance

**To be successful in this position you must possess**:

- Previous experience in the Civil Construction industry (or similar industry)
- Certificate IV in Trainer & Assessor
- Diploma of WHS - or working towards
- White Card
- Current Valid Drivers Licence
- Competency in the safe operation of plant - desirable.
- Effective people management skills
- Solid computer literacy
- Demonstrated ability in risk management
- Ability to read and understand management plans and specifications with exceptional attention to detail.
