Trainee Traffic Planner

iTrafic Traffic Management and Labor hire are currently hiring a trainee traffic management planner. This role would be ideal for someone that has worked in the industry and is looking to take the next step up.

**As a Traffic Management Planner you will**:

- Develop and review Traffic Guidance Schemes & Traffic Management Plans in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Discuss job-specific traffic control requirements with clients.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identifications and document controls.
- Consult with all relevant stakeholders including clients, staff, road authorities, local councils, police, and public transport services.
- Ensure all plans are accurate and completed efficiently and on time every time.

**To be successful you will need to have the following**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in a Traffic Management role.
- Current Victorian Tickets.
- Construction White Card.
- C Class Drivers Licence and reliable transport
- Excellent time management skills.
- Previous exposure to Rapid Plan is desirable but not essential.
- Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn on the run
- Strong computer literacy with Excel knowledge.
- High level of attention to detail and well organized.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines/due dates.
- Conduct job analysis, hazard identification, and risk assessment as part of preparing Traffic Management Plans.
- Learn to Prepare quality Traffic Management Plans in accordance with the AGTTM, MRWA Code of Practice & AS 1742.
- Ensure all relevant Permits are obtained and forwarded to the clients in a timely manner.
- Some offsite education will be part of the role. The ability to travel is essential to attend required training programs.
- Ability to assist with scheduling and other administrative tasks as required.
