Painting Apprentice

We are currently looking for an apprentice to join our team.

**About our Business**
- We are a small Brisbane based company that deals mainly in commercial spaces and the occasional residential spaces.
- You'll be working along side with as many as 6 others but based on the jobs, you'll usually be working with about 2-3 others.
- You'll be expected to work 40 hours a week with 2 hours RDO given per week, which brings it down to a 38 hour week.

**Duties will include**:

- Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
- Carrying paint and materials to various job sites.
- Loading and unloading of paint and materials to various job sites.
- Packing and cleaning up job sites.
- Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, washing etc.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture.
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
- Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
- Assisting other Tradesman in various work tasks.

- Have a drivers licence and a reliable vehicle

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
