The SQL Database Developer role underpins the sustainability and growth of EML, providing SQL Database and development support for our Software Development and data migration capabilities. The role will work closely with the Product Manager, SQL Developers, Database Managers and Developers.
This will be a full time, 12 month contract based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop SSIS packages to facilitate the transformation and loading/extraction of data
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
- Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time.
- Provide suggestions for solutions.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
ABOUT YOU
- 3-5 years hands-on experience, Microsoft SQL Server development, ETL using SSIS packages and Power BI
- Experience in designing/developing database solutions (tables, stored proc etc.) and data migration (from legacy to new)
- Experience in data migrations, analysing and standardising data
- Experience in developing/supporting batch interfaces via SSIS packages.
- Strong Data Reporting experience with financial data.
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/ CD.
- Strong database design and data analysis skills.
- Agile development processes and techniques
- Visual Studio and SQL Server Data Tools to develop complex stored procedures and reports for SQL Server Reporting Services.
