Storeperson

**Position Summary**

The Storeperson is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Coordinator in overseeing the receipt, co-ordination and safety of goods coming through the warehouse.

In particular, the Storeperson:

- Supports Warehouse Coordinator to manage material flow and stock control, including preparing stock required for production.
- Works as part of a team in a high paced environment.
- Ensures orders arrive and are despatched on time to the right destinations and in the right quantities.
- Maintains safety standards.
- Work with Warehouse Coordinator to ensure the quality accreditation is maintained.

Role responsibilities encompass tasks within the following key areas:
1. Warehousing including forklift operations.

2. Employee task support (as required)

3. Team leadership

**Key performance indicators / Responsibilities**

Achievement of production goals at the required level of quality
- Stock takes.
- Receiving and dispatching goods.
- Housekeeping and OH&S.
- Adhering to all QMS warehouse procedures.
- Understanding and ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed and correct.
- Organising transport as required.
- Both feeding and dispatching work for Production.
- Liaising with Production Team to ensure components are available to ensure timeliness of jobs to and from Production.
- Record and maintain relevant documentation

Supervision of a work team

As required, Storeperson will:

- Communicate to the employees the steps involved in each job allocated to them.
- Provide employees with necessary supervision to enable them to achieve their production goals.
- Ensures work team provides work that meets quality standards.
- Provides encouragement and guidance to work team.
- Maintains the attendance role (as required).

Contributing to quality processes
- To work within Brite Services Quality Assurance system, contractual arrangements, and legal requirements.
- Comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the quality system, regulations and organisational policies, quality procedures and working instructions applicable to job activities.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement through the completion of Continuous Improvement Reports.

Contributing to Occupational Health and Safety processes
- To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the OHS Act 2004, regulations and organisational policies, quality procedures and working instructions applicable to their activities.
- To report all hazards, incidents, and injuries in accordance with legislation, and Brite Services VVRA reporting procedures.
- Wear and use protective safety equipment when identified as appropriate.

Other responsibilities
- Provide production support in other areas of Pak division as required.
- Behave in a way that contributes to a workplace that is free from discrimination, harassment and bullying or intimidating behaviour at all times.
- Operate in line with Brite policies, procedures, and work practices (EG: financial, human resources, etc.).

Reporting & Accreditation Upkeep
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Maintain records for FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 audit.

- Comprehensive experience, skills, and knowledge in a distribution industry, that are brought together through a Team approach to production.
