**your opportunity**

The **Internal Auditor** will play a key role in supporting the facilitation, coordination, and delivery of internal audits and control testing, aiming to provide assurance and foster ongoing improvement. Based at our Milton Head Office, you will collaborate closely with all areas of **yourtown** to conduct thorough internal audits employing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

As the **Internal Auditor**, your role will include:

- Support the planning, conducting, and delivery of internal audits relating to a variety of business and technical areas in line with **yourtown’s** auditing standards and requirements.
- Developing and supporting the delivery of an annual schedule of internal audits through consultation with stakeholders, including executive and directors.
- Co-designing actions that effectively mitigate risk and are aligned with **yourtown’s** strategic and operational priorities.
- Monitoring and reporting on assurance activity and supporting with external audits.
- Presenting audit findings and themes to senior management, executives, and the **yourtown** board.
- Delivering targeted, ongoing assurance over key risk areas and controls.

As the** Internal Auditor**, support in delivering 4 to 6 strategic audits, covering a range of interesting and value-adding audit topics such as safeguarding, grants and donations, demand and change management, and holistic reviews of our client-facing services. - Present relevant tertiary qualifications and two years’ experience in internal auditing. An acknowledged auditing qualification would be a valuable addition. Alternatively, a minimum of five years’ experience, preferably within the Human Services sector.
- Highlight your ability to conduct comprehensive internal audits using both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
- Showcase strong communication skills and a capacity for producing impactful reports.
- Emphasise your aptitude for building relationships and exerting influence with a business partnering mindset.
- Bring a dynamic, results-oriented attitude, and excel in an environment that embraces organisational change.
