About the role:
- Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
- Maintain knowledge of products, current sales and promotions, policies regarding sales/exchange, safety and company security practices.
- Correctly calculate pricing and communicate this to customers.
- Correctly complete job cards/paperwork for each vehicle.
- Ensure lock nuts are always noted on Job Cards. Also observe and note any scratches on wheels and the car that a customer may claim we did, check sizes front and back are correct on each vehicle, and if any wheel caps are missing and/or hubs are damaged. These must be noted on each job card.
- Advise the customer to remove valuables if noticed. Observe suspicious behavior that may result in theft or security risk to employees and/or the company.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain products as required.
- Describe products and explain product benefits, variations and options to customers.
- Ticket, arrange and display products to promote sales as required.
- Place special orders and communicate this in accordance with company procedures.
- Achieve sales growth and expectations in terms of unit sales and/or revenue.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in your work area.
- Ensure stock is available before arranging final purchase and completion of job cards/paperwork.
- Assess job completion time and communicate this accurately to each customer outlining issues and/or variations that may occur with special orders.
- Assist with merchandising of the wheel show room/area together with other Sales and CS Persons.
- Sell and arrange delivery of phone orders by completing paperwork correctly and accurately.
- Keep the customer informed if delays occur. Also follow up customers regarding take away orders
- Provide service excellence to customers at all times. Offer complimentary beverage when something goes wrong and it’s the Companies fault.
What you'll need to get the role:
- Be a proactive and driven individual who works well within a team and has a 'customer comes first' attitude
- Have a passion for selling - both FACE TO FACE and on the TELEPHONE.
- Provide service excellence by solving customer problems and providing sales solutions
- Hold a valid NSW Driver's License
- Be comfortable liaising and building relationships with customers
- Tyre and/or wheel sales experience preferred but NOT essential.
- Pay rate: Base rate + overtime + intensive rate + superannuation
