Apprenticeships Queensland is currently seeking a **_junior_**_ _**Carpentry Apprentice to join one of our valued host employers' team. In this role you will gain, knowledge and experience from industry professionals.

**DESCRIPTION**:
Carry out tasks related to the building, construction, and joinery trades, under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson/instructor and consistent with apprenticeship year level.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
- Use carpentry tools & equipment.
- Carry out general demolition of minor building structures.
- Read and interpret, plans, specifications, and drawings for carpentry work.
**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**:
- Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour for extended periods
- Genuine interest in the trade
- Be a safe confident worker
- Willingness to travel
- White Card (or be willing to obtain prior to starting)
- **Must have car & licence**:
- Minimum of year 10 schooling
