**Finance Business Partner**

**Primary Purpose**:
Working alongside GM of Business and Executives providing financial information, tools, analysis, and insight to challenging their thinking, helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy.
- Provide support and accountancy related advice to the Group and its directors.
- Assisting in the preparation of the business planning and budget setting process including providing analysis based on historic business trends and market insights.
- Assist with the processes which contribute to the production of statutory accounts.
- Provide advice and support to ensure that a corporate approach is adopted towards the continuous improvement of the financial and management accounting processes within the Group
- Prepare monthly management reports reflecting project performance of the Group
- To provide strategic cost management accounting advice and functions for the Group

**Reporting and Budgeting**
- Provide accurate and comprehensive monitoring, analysis and reporting of the organization’s financial performance within agreed timelines and against agreed upon budgets
- Complete month end reporting by COB of 5th business day (being reports have been issued to management
- Prepare preparation of graphical reports and other ad hoc information to further supplement monthly reporting.
- Collation of information and preparation of annual financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes
- Assist with the preparation of departmental / Group budgets.
- Assist with the banking function when required.
- Reconcile all intercompany, related party and investors loans, including intercompany loan matrix

**Financial System, Policies and Procedures**
- Develop finance policies for the Group and implement approved policies and procedures
- Conduct regular reviews of the accounting system and procedures.
- Develop and identify suitable finance and accounting procedures for approval by the Directors and Finance Manager
- Ensure that appropriate internal controls have been devised and implemented
- Have a strong focus on automation of all processes

**Cost Control and Profit focus**
- Analyses data and develop models from the finance system and other internal sources, identifying trends which will facilitate effective yield management and cost control
- Document divisional and departmental financial analysis
- Undertake an annual program to tender all cost lines

**Strategic financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow projections**
- Work with the Finance Manager to maintain daily cash flow and projections and reporting as required
- Provide regular financial and strategic analysis to the Directors and Finance Manager
- Maintain Transactional Banking relationships

**Financial Compliance, audit and reporting**
- Liaise with external auditors and management in relation to audit timetable and reports
- Ensuring business and individual compliance with company policies and procedures
- Liaise with Directors and Finance Manager in relation to compliance, tax (income tax, GST, PAYG, FBT, etc), audit requirements and reporting to ensure requirements met in a timely, accurate and complete manner
- Assist with reporting to Building License Authorities
- Assist with insurance renewal process
- Assist with internal audit function

**Stakeholder Relationships**
- Maintain a professional working relationship with Directors, Finance Manager and team members
- Maintain a cooperative, professional working relationship with internal and external stakeholders

**Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated commercial skills with the demonstrated ability to analyze cost data including control, monitoring and assignment of costs within the group.
- Demonstrated experience in cost accounting and management reporting operations and maintenance.
- Bachelor degree in business or associated field and professional membership of a professional body such as CPA or CA
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards
- High level of financial analytical skills in developing project financial statements and cash flow models.

**Typical Qualifications and Personal Attributes**
- Tertiary Qualification within a related discipline, i.e. business, commerce (mandatory)
- CA / CPA qualified (mandatory)
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly excel
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with expertise in analysis, budgeting and reporting with a solid understanding of financial regulatory, legislative requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- High attention to detail

- Well-developed communication and relationship management skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
